Cheshire and Nantwich Anglesey Racing 27th April 2003
Following my adventures sliding on my belly at Croft I hitched the bike up to attend
Anglesey to race. there were only 2 races in each class so in addition to the Supersports 400 (which we raced with GP125s) I entered the Open 250 class too. This meant I would be up against Honda RS250s and 125s which do remarkably well at this circuit.
Practise was a disaster as I fumbled and changed my wheels from wets to dry.. realising I had worn through my rear brake line via clumsy wheel change at Croft. Managed to get out for half a session but bike felt completely wrong.
First race in 400 saw me finish 15th out of 20.. I was happy with this as I used this as a warm up.
I came last in both 250 opens but managed to keep with the pack on the second race (and not get lapped and do full 10 lap race!). Even though I was last I was happy to have done my fastest time.
AND I never fell off this time.
